A case was lodged against three people including BNP leader Dupchanchia municipality mayor Jahangir Alam, secretary Karthik Chandra Das under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Assistant Director ACC Bogura District Office Hafizur Rahman filed this case in his office on Tuesday (March 21) on the charge of forgery and submission of orders containing the names of High Court judges to the Special Judge Court of Bogura. He confirmed it himself.
The plaintiff mentioned in the statement that the defendants were able to obtain an order of suspension of the case by fraudulently creating an order dated 19 July 2010 of the High Court’s criminal mistrial and submitting it to the Special Judge’s Court of Bogura.
The accused have committed an offense punishable by using the fake paper as correct in the Special Judge Court of Bogra by forging the order containing the date, description, name of the accused, case number, name of the judges of the High Court by forgery.
In the light of the order of writ branch of the High Court, Superintendent Abdul Momen filed a petition case against the three accused in the court of Senior Special Judge of Bogra. Besides, he directed the Deputy Director of Anti-Corruption Commission Bogura to investigate the case and give a report.
Later the case was sent to the ACC head office. After that, regular case was allowed from the head office against the three accused Dupchanchia Municipality Mayor Jahangir Alam, Secretary Karthik Chandra Das and an apprentice lawyer.
