Former Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Islamic University and a senior member of the progressive teachers’ organization Shapla Forum has been appointed as the new Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Bangladesh Open University (BOU). Nasim Banu. Today, the Chancellor of the University and His Excellency President Abdul Hamid appointed him to the post for the next four years. This information has been given in the circular signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Neelima Afroz.

It is mentioned in the signed agreement, according to section 14 (1) of Bangladesh Open University Act, 1992, Prof. Dr. Nasim Banu has been appointed as Pro-VC of Bangladesh Open University, Gazipur for the next four years. It is mentioned in the notification that the university will fulfill the powers and responsibilities prescribed by the constitution and law.

Professor Dr. Nasim told Ittefaq, “I am grateful to all concerned, including the President, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education.
