The renowned organization and the prestigious platform for the Bankers in Bogura district “Bankers’ Club, Bogura” has got a fresh General Secretary through a nomination from unanimous decision by the members of the club office in Bogura on Sunday evening.

The newly nominated fresh General Secretary is Md. Shahinur Islam, a dynamic and public-friendly Zonal Manager (AGM) of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB-North) in Bogura.

Club sources said that the former General Secretary of the club Abdur Razzak was posted from Bogura to Natore and consequently, the post became vacant and the fresh General Secretary was nominated with the presence of all the members headed, presided by the President of Bankers’ Club, Bogura and Executive Director (ED) of Bangladesh Bank, Bogura, AKM Shahinul Islam.

The high Officials (executive level) of at least 56 government and non-government banks and financial institutions in Bogura have given valuable supports and consents to the fresh General Secretary among other two aspirants for the very post.

A high official of RAKUB mentioned that newly nominated General Secretary is the first person from RAKUB who was appointed for the post and they had been feeling highly proud and hopeful of the speed of the club’s activities and he could preserve the interest of the bankers during his tenure.
