A Chhatra League leader and his associate were arrested allegedly for trading Yaba pills in Pabna on Friday night.

The arrested are Adnan Sumon, the deputy-drama affairs secretary of Pabna district Chhatra League, and Rabbi Khan, his associate.

Pabna district Detective Branch officer-in-charge Abdul Hannan said that 99 Yaba pills were recovered from them.

The officer said that they had information that Adnan and his accomplices were selling Yaba pills to teenagers.

A police team raided Purba Shalgaria area of the town and arrested the duo on Friaday, he said. Locals said that Adnan was involed in Yaba and liqour trading, for long time.

Pabna BCL  acting president Firoz Ali said that they would recommend the central committee to suspend the membership of Adnan.

`We will not t ake responsibility of the arrested leader, None will be spared if found involved om drug,dealing,`Firoz said.
