An awareness campaign has been organized to prevent the use of polythene with more than two hundred students organized by the Adamdighi Upazila branch of Bashundhara Shubasangha Bogura. The awareness campaign was held at Sandira Shaheed Siraj Khan Memorial Academy High School in Santahar Union of the upazila on Monday.

At this time, more than 200 students from sixth to tenth class of the school took part. Chief Advisor of Bashundhara Shubosangh Adamdighi Upazila Branch Engineer Nazrul Islam urged everyone to come forward to stop the use of polythene.

He said, “If the environment is good, we will be good.” At this time he highlighted the harm caused by using polythene. Apart from this, he also discussed what we can use as an alternative to polythene.

Enamul Haque, head teacher of the school said, “The students got a detailed idea about the prohibition of using polythene bags in this great event of Bashundhara Shubasangha.”

President of Bashundhara Shubosangh Aminul Islam Sumon said, “Basundhara Shubosongh is always working for the welfare of the country.”  “We understand the impact of climate change on our environment. That is why we have no choice but to protect the environment. So we have to take such initiatives.” he added.

Assistant Teacher of Shaheed Siraj Khan Memorial Academy Rubel Hossain, General Secretary of Santahar City Press Club Aminul Islam Sohag, Adamdighi Correspondent og Kaler Kanth  Tariqul Islam Gentu, General Secretary of Bashundhara Shubo Sangher Upazila Committee Hasibul Islam Shakeel, Teachers Hitler, Mahfuza, Jahangir and  Amjad were present.
