Anti-corruption debate competition held in Sherpur

Anti-corruption debate competition has been held on the theme of “Stop corruption, make the country golden Bangladesh.”under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district.
The competition has been organized on Wednesday (July 12) at eleven in the morning at the auditorium of Sherpur Pilot Girls High School of the upazila.
Anti-Corruption Commission Bogura District Office and Upazila Anti-Corruption Committee organized this debate competition in an effort to improve morals and develop good practices among students.Students of eight educational institutions of the upazila participated in  the debate function on the occasion.
Sherpur Pilot Girls High School and Sherpur Government DJ Model High School participated in the final round. Among them, DJ High School won. Farzana Akter of Sherpur Pilot Girls High School Farzana has been selected as the best speaker of the debate function.
The theme of the critique was “effective means of eradicating corruption, not prevention”.Farzana Akhtar (team leader), Chayan Karmakar, Ishrat Islam participated in the winning team and Israt Jahan (team leader), Machia Rahman Jim and Samrid Karmakar participated in the runners up team.
Nurul Islam Jinnah of Serua Adarsh ​​High School, Saiful Islam of Jamur Islamia High School, Abu Said of Sherpur Pilot Girls High School and Salim Uddin of Uchrang Bande Ali High School performed the duties of judges.
President Nimay Ghos of Upazila Anti Corruption Committee spoke at the end of the meeting.
Upazila Executive Officer (Acting) SM Rezaul Karim, Bogura Anti Corruption Commission Assistant Deputy Director Zakir Hossain,Upazila Anti Corruption Committee General Secretary ATM Abdus Sattar, Vice President Ayub Ali, Golam Mustafa, member Pratibha Rani and others were present in the meeting.
Prizes have been distributed among the winners & runners-up teams.  Representatives of various professions including teachers, journalists, businessmen were present in the event.
