On the occasion of celebrating autumn Durga Puja with due dignity, 64 Durga Puja Mandaps have been provided with financial assistance by Chapainawabganj Zilla Parishad. On Wednesday (October 09) at 9:30 am, financial donation checks were presented to the presidents-general secretaries of the puja mandaps at the district council’s own office.

As the chief guest, the donation check was presented by Deputy Commissioner Md. Abdus Samad. Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Md. Afaz Uddin presided. Chief Executive Officer said that on the occasion of Durga Puja, a total of  Tk 2 lakh 60 thousand was given to 64 puja mandaps in the district.

At that time, Assistant Commissioner of District Administration Md. Sabbir Ahmed, Deputy Assistant Engineer of Zilla Parishad Md. Abdul Wahed, General Secretary of Bangladesh Puja Celebration Parishad Chapainawabganj District Branch Dhananjay Chatterjee, President of Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Parishad Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila Branch Mr. Arjun Saha and others were present.
