With a rich cultural significance and traditional medicinal roots, the red-golden plant captures the imagination with its vibrant flowers and valuable medicinal properties.

Java Cassia, also known as Apple Blossom Cassia, also known as Pink Lady, is also known as Pink Shower. Also known as Velvet Cassia, also known as the red-golden flower, it is a boundless beauty at Rajshahi University.

Budding in front of the university gymnasium, the sight of this beautiful flower is hard to avoid from a distance or up close. It is famous for its striking beauty and is widely cultivated as an ornamental tree, whose bright yellow flowers adorn gardens, parks, and paths.

It takes on a stunning golden hue during the summer. It also turns a vibrant shade of pink, white, or red.

Red-golden trees are generally fast-growing, medium-sized, and can reach up to 10 meters in height. Head spreading, petiolate, compound 1 lobed, 15 to 30 cm long, leaflets 16 to 28, glabrous, and 3 to 5 cm long.

Jahedul Alam Tanmoy, ‘a student of the political science department of the university, said that there are very few people who do not like flowers. Among them, the red gold flower is the favorite of almost everyone.’

Tanvir Khan Torun, ‘a student of the Islamic Studies Department of the university, said that Lal Sonail appeared on the premises of the university with an eye-catching message in spite of this rough weather.’
