The central executive committee of Bangladesh Student League (BSL) has approved a committee for Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University in Dinajpur, after almost one decade. Alamgir Hossain Akash and M.M. Masud Rana Mithu have been announced as the President and General Secretary respectively.
In the latest approval in 2010, HSTU had endorsed the committee of Student League. It was dissolved in 2021. Despite several attempts by interested leaders to submit CVs for committee formation, Student League couldn’t form the committee.
However, to break the deadlock in HSTU Student League, a workers’ meeting was held on March 11, led by the central leadership of Student League. In that meeting, the Student League president, Saddam Hossain, announced the formation of the committee within the shortest possible time. Since then, aspiring activists have begun to see a new ray of hope.
Finally a partial committee of 59 members was announced for the central executive committee of HSTU students League. The committee was announced through a press conference signed by president Saddam Hossain and G.S Sheikh Inan on the night of may 14

Asadul Habib Ashik, Anannya Akbar Antu, Riyad Khan, Uttam Kumar Pal, Shubh Satyajit Ray, Mostafa Jamal, Sakib Islam Khan, Mashiur Rahman Momin, Rabbi Sheikh, Murad Sarkar Mikat, Md. Atiqur Rahman Bappy, Mahfuz Ahmed Joni, Kishor Kumar, Al Baraka Banik, Md. Asif Salehin Bishal, Sayem Abarar, Sheikh Ishtiaq Ahmed, Sheikh Saiyida Israt, Hossainur Mitun, Farzana Tanjim, Md. Imran Hossain, Khademul Islam Mrudul, Shah Paran, Abdullah Al Mamun Shubh, Md. Nasif Hasan, Eftakar Jahan Nishad, Amirul Ahsan Nishat, Rashidul Islam Rahat, Chandan Barman, and Omar Faruk Fahim.
The joint general secretaries are Lira Rahman, Sabbir Mahmud Shuvo, Sheikh Sarowar Hossen Sumon, Dhananjay Bhowmik Joy, Russell Alvi, Monowar Hossen Lam, and Md. Abul Bashar.
And the organizational secretaries are Bakhtiyar Fahim, Mehedi Hasan Hriday, M. Tafsirul-E-Abbasi Mriddha, Md. Al Amin, Jeba Tasnim Jerin, Anisujjaman Biplab, Md. Rabbul Hasan, Farhad Ahmed Munna, Rakib Zaman, Habibun Mustari Eva, and Md. Monirujjaman.
