A defendant died in the courtroom at Chapainawabganj

A defendant died in the courtroom in a case related to land. It was initially reported that the person named Mainuddin (62) died of heart attack. The incident took place on the third floor of Chapainawabganj Assistant Judge Court building on Sunday (January 21) around 2 pm.
The man died in the courtroom of Judge Naseeruddin of Gomstapur Assistant Judge Court. He is the son of Arsad Ali of Alinagar Makrampur of Gomstapur Upazila. The police inspector of the court and the defendant’s lawyer confirmed this information.

Defendant’s lawyer Ashiq Iqbal said, “A land related case was going on in Chapainawabganj Assistant Judge Court. Mainuddin came to appear in court as the date of the case was fixed on Sunday. I was cross-examining the plaintiff as his counsel. He was watching the proceedings while sitting in the courtroom.

At this time he suddenly fell ill. When he was quickly taken from the courtroom to the 250-bed Chapainawabganj District Hospital, the doctor declared him dead.

Umme Habiba, the doctor in charge of the emergency department of the 250-bed district Chapainawabganj district hospital, said that it is initially believed that Mainuddin died of a heart attack. The body was handed over to the family as there was no complaint.
