The great Victory Day was celebrated at Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) with due dignity and respect.

On the occasion of the day, on Saturday Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Hafiza Khatun, pro vice-chancellor Professor Dr. SM Mustafa Kamal Khan and treasurer Prof. Dr. KM Salah Uddin in presence, the national flag and the university flag were hoisted in the campus through the national anthem.

Ansar and university Rover Scout members presented their guard of honour. After hoisting the flag, a victory rally was taken out in front of the administrative building of the university led by the Vice-Chancellor, pro vice-chancellor and treasurer with the participation of Deans of various faculties, department chairmen, teachers-students and officers-employees. Which goes around the various roads of the campus and ends at the freedom square of the university.

At the end of the rally, vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Hafiza Khatun on behalf of the university administration, pro vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. SM Mustafa Kamal Khan, treasurer Prof. Dr. KM Salah Uddin and registrar Bijan Kumar Brahm paid tributes to the memory of the martyrs of the Great Liberation War at Independence Square.

After that, various departments of the university, offices, hall administration, teachers’ association, PUST press club, various social and cultural organisations paid tribute.

Additional Director of Public Relations and Publication Department Faruque Hossain Chowdhury conducted in the ceremony among others, the former vice-chancellor of First Capital University of Bangladesh Hazrat Ali, PUST proctor Dr. Md. Kamal Hossain, student advisor Md. Nazmul Hossain. Dean of various faculties, department chairman, hall provost, journalists, teachers-students, officers and employees were present at the programme.

After the tributes, prayers and Milad mahfil were organised for the martyrs of the Great Liberation War at the Central Mosque of Bad Johar University.
