International Women’s Violence Prevention Team and Begum Rokeya Day were celebrated in Shahjahanpur, Bogra, with the theme of ‘Investment for women and prevention of violence’.

Flag hoisting, rally and discussion meeting was organized by upazila administration and women affairs department on Saturday.

Upazila Executive Officer Saida Khanam was the chief guest. Under the chairmanship of Upazila Women Affairs Officer Rebecca Sultana, Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Kazi Mohammad Anik, Police Station Officer Incharge Shahidul Islam, Shajahanpur Press Club President Sajedur Rahman Sabuj, Brak District Coordinator Babli Suraiya and women leaders of various levels and students were present.

At the end of the discussion meeting, 5 winners were awarded at the upazila level in four categories.
