As many as 15 incurable and curable patients of two districts got goats as rehabilitation support from World Mission Prayer League(LAMB Hospital),on Thursday.

A simple function on goat distribution was also held on the premises of GobindaganjUpazila Health Complex in the afternoon under the project of Elimination of Genital Fistulaby Capturing, Treating, Rehabilitation and Re-integrating in Bangladesh (FRRei) being implemented by the organization with the financial support of UNFPA under the direct supervision of Directorate of Health Services.

Residence medical officer (RMO) of the complex Dr. Forhad Ali formally distributed the goats to the beneficiaries as the chief guest.

RMO in his speeches urged the beneficiaries to rear the goats properly in a bid to earn economic profit to run their families smoothly.

After getting goats, all beneficiary women expressed their gratefulness to the LAMB Hospital for standing beside them with goats aimed at involving them in income generating activities for their rehabilitation.

Of the beneficiaries, some 10 are selected from Gaibandha district and 5 from nearby Bogura district, said district Coordinator (LAMB) Shariful Islam.

The officials of the health complex and NGO activists were present on the occasion.
