Buyers are collecting TCB’s fair price products in Chapainawabganj

As part of its monthly sales programme, the government agency Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has started selling essential commodities at subsidized prices for the month of October. TCB is selling products to 1 crore low income families with family cards across the country.

On Tuesday (October 24) ordinary buyers collected TCB’s fair price products in Shiala Colony area of Chapainawabganj district town. Going to the ground, it can be seen that at 10 in the morning, middle and low income people of the area are standing in long queues and buying TCB’s fair price products.

Mo Emdadul Haque Mintu, the owner of M/s Mintu Enterprise, was in charge of the sale of TCB products in that area. He said – I have sold these products to a total of 819 people in Shiala Colony area from 9 am to 3 pm today. He also said that a customer with a family card can buy a maximum of two liters of soybean oil or rice bran oil, five kilograms of rice, two kilograms of lentils and onions and one kilogram of sugar. In this, the price of soybean oil per liter will be kept at Tk 100. Rice is being sold at Tk 30, lentils at Tk 60 per kg.
