An unidentified old man was killed under Shajahanpur upazila in Bogura on Sunday. The accident took place in front of C-Block nearby Sakinath Yazdani Market on Dhaka-Bogra highway.

Police and locals said the man was a pedestrian walking on the road early in the morning. At that time, an unknown speeding car running to Dhaka hit him and ran away. He died on the spot.

In-charge of Sherpur Highway Police Camp Abdul Wadud said, on receiving the news, he immediately went to the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. He also said attempt is being made to identify the identity.
