One youth was committed suicide by hanging himself near Telani union perished office under Bhurungamariuazila in Kurigram district early hours on Friday (May 19).

The deceased was identified as Al Amin 22 son of late Abdul Khaleque of Dhamarhat bazar area under Telai union of the upazila.

Local sources said Al Amin was drug addicted. Sometimes he worked in the hotel at Dhamerhat bazar to manage the money of addict. He was also a thief, several times local setting was held in this connection.

Chairman of Telai union council Kamruzzaman told that he was committed suicide in back side of the Telai union council at dead of night on Friday.Being informed Police recovered the body and brought to Bhurungamarithana.

Officer-in-charge of Bhurungamari police station Nazrul Islam said the body however sent to KurigramSadarHodpital morgue for autopsy.The causes behind the suicide will be known after getting the autopsy report,OC added.
