The import and export activities in SonahatLand port under Bhurungamariupazia in Kurigram district has been declaredclose for nine days on the eve of holy Eid-ulFitre.

The decision has taken in a letter signed by President and general secretary of C & F agent of Sonahat Land port. All business activities of the land port including import and export of goods will be closed. President of C&FAgent Association Sarkar Rakib Ahmed Jewel ensured the incident.

Sources said the Eid holiday has been announced from 19 April to 27 April. All activities of the land port will start again from April 29.

Assistant Director (Traffic) of Sonahat Land port Mohammad Ruhul Amin told that the port will be closed for Eid holiday from 19 April to 27 April. A letter in this regard has also been issued.
