A team of 4-Armed Police Batteliom (APBN) personnel seized 40 bottles of Phensidyl and arrested one narcotic peddler with a private car from Gokul area on Dhaka-Rangpur highway under Sadar upazila in Bogura on Monday noon.

On the direct supervision and direction of Commanding Officer (CO) of 4-APBN, Bogura Syed Abu Sayeem bpm, acting on a tip-off, the APBN team led by Inspector (Unarmed) Arif Ali conducted a drive in the location and recovered 40 bottles of phensidyl worth at Tk.1.6 lakh and arrested one peddler with a private car from his possession.

The arrested peddler was identified as Rafiqul Islam allies Rabiul, 29, son of Atiar rahman and Rashida Begum of Nabinagar under Patgram upazila in lalmonirhat district who presently has been staying at Keranipara under Sadar Police Station in Rangpur district.

A case was lodged with Bogura sadar police station on section 14 (Kha) under 36(1) of Narcotic Control Act of 2018 and later he was sent to the court, the court sent him to jail.
