The mystery of a murder in 2004 in Bagha Upazila of Rajshahi has been revealed. Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) said Aksed Ali Sikder killed his daughter to frame his rival. In this incident, the child’s own mother and stepmother gave a statement in court.
Rajshahi District PBI Additional Superintendent of Police Abul Kalam Azad gave this information in a press conference on Tuesday (April 11) morning. He said that a sensational murder took place in 2004 in Lainagar village of Bagha police station. The victim’s father, Aksed Ali Sikder, filed a murder case based on that incident. After investigating the case, the police filed a charge sheet in the court on November 30, 2004 against the 20 accused mentioned in the statement.
This official of PBI said that after conducting the trial for a long time, it is evident to the court that the accused in this case are not guilty of murder. The court directed the PBI Rajshahi to conduct further investigation and submit a report to find out the real culprits of the murder.
Additional Superintendent of Police said, while investigating this case, we came to know that the plaintiff in the case killed his own daughter Rebecca Khatun (13) with the intention of implicating the village rival Molla clan. His two wives Bhayela Bewa (65) and Ofia Bewa (60) gave a statement in court on April 9 under section 164. At the time they admitted,
Their husband Hashua killed his daughter in Kope. There they said that until now they could not open their mouths about the murder due to the fear of their husband.
The police officer also said that 20 accused are currently on bail in this case. However, according to our report, Aksed Ali, the plaintiff in the main accused case, died in 2019.
