International Women’s Day was celebrated in Chapainawabganj with the theme “Digital technology and innovation, gender discrimination will be eliminated”. Chapainawabganj District Police and Bangladesh Police Women Network organized a discussion meeting on the occasion of the day last Monday (March 20) morning.

Chapainawabganj District Superintendent of Police AHM Abdur Rakib BPM PPM (Bar) presided over the discussion meeting as the chief guest was addressed by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Papia Sultana.

Also spoke – Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Md. Abul Kalam Sahid, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Md. Roknuzzaman Sarkar and others.

The speakers said that everyone should come forward to prevent all kinds of discrimination against women. Chapainawabganj District Police will always stand by the people in preventing violence against women, ensuring equal rights of men and women and controlling and eradicating any type of crime against women.

At the end of the discussion, the guests gave gifts to all the women policemen
