In a joint operation of RAB-12, Bogura and RAB-1, Gazipur a main accused over murder case was arrested .

Victim Nurul Islam (65), son of late Mafez Uddin Mondal at Kalugari under Shibganj upazila in Bogura had a long dispute with the accused in Maidanhata area under Shibganj police station of Bogura district.

As a result, on 12th March in the morning, when the victim went to plant paddy in that land from the house, the accused hit the victim several times with  sticks and ran away. Later, the victim was rescued in a bloody and unconscious state and admitted to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.

On March 14 the victim died while undergoing treatment. The victim’s brother filed a case on March 15  with  Shibganj Police Station as the plaintiff. The incident created a sensation. After this incident, RAB started extensive intelligence surveillance to bring the accused under the law.

Superintendent of Police Company Commander CPC-3, RAB-12 Mir Monir Hossain  said Such sensational raiding activities of RAB will continue and will be intensified in the future. We strongly believe that such activities of the law enforcement forces can make Bangladesh a crime-free country.
