Executive Committee of a non-political organization called ‘Alor Pathe Samaj Sangh’ has been formed under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district.
On Saturday (March 11) at 5:30 in the hall market of the local bus stand area of the town, all the members of this organization unanimously elected president Abdul Latif Talukdar as president and Md. Abdur Razzak as general secretary.
Alhaj Jane Alam Khoka, Mayor of Sherpur Municipality, spoke as the chief guest at the opening ceremony under the chairmanship of Abdul Latif Talukdar, the president of the organization.
Prominent businessman and former municipal mayor, Swadhin Kumar Kundu, Ward No. 9 Councilor Feroze Ahmed Jewel, District Bus-Minibus Coaches and Microbus Transport Workers Union President Arifur Rahman Milan, prominent social workers Hasanul Maruf Shimul, Ashiqur Rahman Roman, Farhad were present as special guests in the function.
In the chief guest’s speech at the event, Mayor Jane Alam Khoka said that this non-political organization will always be engaged in the service of self-humanity. Therefore, he assured to give full support to them in these great works.
The president of the organization, Abdul Latif Talukder, sought the cooperation of people from all walks of life and said that a lot of big work has been undertaken with small efforts. But he promised that Samaj Sangh will always work for the welfare of humanity in the path of light.”
General Secretary of Port Committee Raju Ahmed, Saidur Rahman and others were also present on the occasion.
