RAB-5 arrested a top terrorist named Md Sarwar Zaman alias Sweet (34) with a foreign pistol in Rajshahi metropolis.

He was arrested at 11 pm on Wednesday (March 8) from Upper Bhadra area under Boalia police station of the metropolis. At that time, 1 foreign pistol, 1 magazine, 1 tip knife and 1 gram of heroin were recovered from him.

This information was confirmed in a press release sent by RAB-5, Molla Camp, Rajshahi on Thursday morning.

According to RAB, on the basis of intelligence information on Wednesday night, it is known that the top terrorist Md Sarwar Zaman alias Sweet Jail of Ballia Pukur (Upper Bhadra) area under Boalia police station of Rajshahi metropolis has collected illegal weapons in his house with the aim of creating terror in the area. Based on such information, 1 foreign pistol, 1 magazine, 1 tip knife and 1 gram of heroin were recovered by raiding his pill.

RAB also said that the arrested Sweet is a top terrorist of the metropolis. He is involved in all the criminal activities of the world of terrorism. He has a total of 13 cases in his name including robbery, weapons, kidnapping, drug, theft cases.

In this regard, a case has been filed against him under Arms Act at Boalia Police Station of the metropolis. He was handed over to the court through the concerned police station on Thursday afternoon.
