The authority of Islamic University (IU) in Kushita observed the 7th March as a historic speech day of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, on the campus in a befitting manner on Tuesday.

Observing the day, a joyous rally was brought from the administrative building led by university VC Prof D. Sheikh Abdus Salam around 10 am. Pro-VC Prof D. Mahbubur Rahman, treasurer Prof D. Alamgir Hossain Bhuiya, acting Registrar HM Ali Hasan, teachers, officials, and students, including IU unit BSL leaders and activists, attended the rally. It ended atop the ‘Mrittunjoyee Mujib’ mural after parading the main roads of the campus.

Later, IU administration and other organizations placed floral wreaths on the mural. Dua and Munajat were held for the eternal peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman after placing the wreaths.
