Nageswarithana police in Kurigram arrested three accused at noon on Tuesday as they hit and injured the chairman of Bamondanga UP AsaduzzamanRony.

The arrested are James Bepary son of SamsulBepary of village KutiBamondanga,MilonBepary son of MozibarBepary and Akhlad Hossain son of Late Hafez Munshi in the same area.

Police said a seating (meeting) was going on in the chairman’s office at Bandhu Bazar at night on Monday.Suddenly Sayed Ali and Nurul Islam Tunku younger brother of former UP chairman Amzad Hossain along with6/7 persons attached on the chairman. They beat up the chairman with Rod and fled away. Blood poured from the head injury. Locals recovered him and brought to Nageswariupazila health complex in a critical condition. While his condition was deteriorated was referred to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for better treatment.

Father of the chairman ShahAlam filed a case with Nageswarithana police accusing 15. The miscreants attacked his son for murder,his father claimed.

Officer-in-charge of Nageswari police station NabiulHasan said we arrested three accused from their houses. They were sent to jail custody through the court.
