Information and Broadcasting Minister and Joint General Secretary of Awami League Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, like a duck quacks before laying eggs, BNPO is doing the same with the movement. This is evident from their rally – the people are far from it, not all BNP workers participated there.
He made this comment while talking to reporters at Circuit House after arriving in Rajshahi to attend a political program on Friday (January 13).
Hasan Mahmud said, we have been seeing the movement of BNP since the last 14 years after coming to power with the verdict of the people. They sometimes say- movement after winter, sometimes say movement after summer, sometimes say after annual exam.

But later their movement did not get any water in the field. This movement is nothing but the continuation of their last 14 years declaration.
He said, we do politics with the people; Our foundation is the people. Recently, you have seen that we have held public meetings or gatherings all over Bangladesh. Millions of people gathered there. That is, the people are with us.

He also said that a few days ago, where BNP held mass-location program and march, it was seen that there were no people there. That is, you will see that when the duck lays eggs, it makes a lot of quacks before that. The BNP rally a few days ago and the latest march – these are nothing but the crowing of ducks that have laid their eggs.

In response to a question from journalists, this leader of Awami League said that it is not wrong to question the issue of Awami League’s agreement with Jamaat-e-Islami and Hefazat. Awami League is a symbol of non-communal and liberation war spirit in Bangladesh. And its long history is its testimony.

When asked about increasing the price of electricity, the minister said that due to the ongoing global crisis, the whole world is increasing the price of electricity. However, as other countries in the world are increasing, our country has not increased at that rate. This has to be done to maintain economic harmony with the world market.

Later, Information Minister attended a representative meeting of Awami League organized at Rajshahi Medical College Auditorium. Rajshahi District and Metropolitan Awami League has organized this representative meeting to make Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s rally a success on January 29 in Rajshahi.
