Diarrhea outbreaks under Dupchanchia upazila in Bogura. Meanwhile, some 16 diarrhea patients have been admitted at Dupchanchia Upazila Health Complex. However, the patients admitted for treatment have expressed satisfaction with the health services.

It is known that the number of diarrhea patients has started increasing due to the severity of winter in the area. The patients have been admitted to the internal medicine department for treatment.

Admitted patients are supposed to receive government allocated cholera saline. But even though the allocation is insufficient, the medical services are continuing.

Anwara Begum (70) of Kharia Nishindara village of Talora town area and Rabeya Begum (45) of Kathali village of the upazila said that two days ago they were admitted to the upazila health complex due to diarrhea.

Under the guidance and overall supervision of Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Shamsun Nahar, the concerned doctors and nurses provided us with the desired services.

Umm Kulsoom, senior staff nurse (in-charge of the department) at the Upazila Health Complex, said that due to the sudden increase in the incidence of diarrhea, it ended two days ago due to the provision of allocated cholera saline to the patients. Saline is likely to be available in the emergency system within a day or two. If you get it, this crisis will not exist.
