Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Anisur Rahman has been posted as Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP). This order was issued in a notification of the Public Security Department of the Home Ministry on Thursday.

A total of five police officers were posted in the same notification. RMP Commissioner Abu Kalam Siddique was posted as CID DIG.

Besides, Azad Miah, Vice Principal of Bangladesh Police Academy located in Sarada of Charghat Upazila of Rajshahi, has been transferred as DIG of Industrial Area Police.

Among the other two officers, Director (Operations) of the Directorate of Police Kusum Dewan has been transferred to CID as DIG and Tangail Police Training Center Additional DIG Mahbubur Rahman has been transferred to CID.

Deputy Secretary Sirajam Munira signed the notification. The order issued in public interest will be effective immediately, the notification said.
