The cold wind and fog begin in the morning and night in the current winter season. Sometimes dense fog visible at night which fall like drop of water.

The cold wave is increasing day by day in the northern parts of the country including Kurigramdistrict. The cold related diseases are also increasing. Finding no alternative way the victims are rushing to Hospitals as well as clinics with cough, fever and Respiratory Tract Infection. The number of patients are increasing. Most of them are children and old men.

The number of patients who have admitted in the Hospital are more than bed. Consequently, some patients have to stay on the floor. The inadequate man power are very busy to perform Medicare services to the patients, hospital authority said.

Resident Medical Officer of Kurigram General Hospital Dr. Shahinur Rahman SardarShipon said that the number of patients with cold related disease are increasing with the beginning of winter season.
