Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident at TebuniainPabnaSadarUpazila Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Suman Ghosh,26, son of Shyamal Ghoshand Ariful Islam,27, son of Nurul Islam also former the former social worker secretary of Pabnadistrict Chhatra Dalboth residence of DilalpurMohalla in the district headquarters.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pakshi Highway police confirmed the incident and said the duo worked in a private company in Kalikapur of Ishwardiupazila in the district.

Quoting locals, OC Ashish Sanyal said that two people on a motorcycle were crossing the Tebunia Agricultural Farm intersection on the Pabna-Ishwari highway when a passenger bus or a truck ran over them at around 7.30am, leaving Suman Ghosh died on the spot and Ariful Islam was taken to PabnaMedical College Hospital (PMCH, where he succumbed to his injures, OC said.

The duo bodies sent to PMCH for autopsy.
