A cotton Mill named Ma in Kurigram BSIC Industries and two go downs have been gutted by fire at 10.00 am on Sunday (October 23).Being informed four units of Kurigram,Ulipur,Rajarhat and Lalmonirhat Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after two hours of frantic efforts. The loss was not estimated immediately.

The laborers and local sources said it may be originated from cotton mill but failed to put out. Later the matter was informed to Fire Service.

The owner of the mill Mohsin Ali has gone to Saudi Arabia to perform Omrah Hajj,locals said.

KurigramSadar UNO RashedulHasan, Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Kurigram BSIC Industries Areas Jahangir Alam, Deputy Director of RangpurDivision Fire Service Jasim Uddin have visited on the spot. They assured to take necessary measures after estimate the loss. The matter will inform to higher authority.

RangpurDivisional Fire Service Jasim Uddin said after getting information four units of Fire Fighters rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.Jute mills and other mills are situated adjacent area.

Deputy General Manager (DGM) ofKurigram BSIC Industries Areas Jahangir Alam said news was informed immediately.
