Two motorcyclists were killed after being hit by a speedy bus at Vitapara near Sarisha Bridge in Santhiaupazila of Pabna.

The deceased were identified as Farman Sheikh,30, son of Ansar Sheikh of Bhatikya village under Aminpur police station in Pabnasadarupazila and his sister-in-law Mahbuba Yasmin,25, daughter of Jamal Uddin of village Madhpur of Santhiaupazila in the district

They are brother-in-law and sister-in-law.

The accident took place in sometime on Friday night. However, on Saturday morning, the locals saw and informed the police.

Haider Ali, Sub-Inspector of Santhiapolice station confirmed the mater and said that Farman Sheikh and his sister-in-law Mahbuba were going to workplace in Gazipur district on a motorcycle at night.They died on the spot when a passenger bus hit them near SarishaVitapara Bridge of Santhia.

Locals saw the bodies on Saturday morning and informed the police. On receiving information, they recovered the bodies and sent to Pabna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The bus has been identified and efforts are being made to arrest the driver, said this police official.
