A garments worker was gang-raped from Dhaka to meet her boyfriend in Ishwardi of Pabna. Police arrested four people in this incident, Ishwardi police said.All the accused have been sent to jail through court.

After meeting and falling in love through emo apps, along with her girlfriend Momena (pseudonym), they came from Dhaka to meet her lover Masuma (pseudonym) at Ishwardi (pseudonym) faced this tragedy.

Lover Al-Amin and his three friends took them to a secluded place and tried to rape them. Meanwhile, his (Al Amin) lover Masuma managed to escape, but Momena was gang-raped.

Ishwardi police arrested 4 accused in this incident on Sunday. Earlier, the incident took place at a sugarcane field near to the agricultural farm road in MuladuliSheikhpara area of the Ishwardiupazila Saturday night.

The arrested are Al Amin,25, Mahidul Sardar,35, of Lakshikola village of Ishwardiupazila in Pabna, Abdur Rashid,35, of Gopalpur village and Javed Ali,35, of Rajapur of Baraigram in Natore.

According to the case filed, Al-Amin met Masuma, a garment worker in Dhaka’s Ashulia, through emo apps. Al-Amin asks Masuma to come to Ishwardi after a long acquaintance and love.

Believing the words of the lover (Masuma), the two girlfriends arrived at Ishwardi’sDashuria along with her girlfriend Momena. When it was evening, the lover Al-Amin took them to the agricultural farm and forced them into a sugarcane field and tried to rape them.

Meanwhile, Masuda managed to escape by kicking and pushing, but Momena was trapped. Finding Momena alone, the three men took turns raping her. Later, they took shelter of the police through the locals.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ishwardi police station Arvind Sarkar said that the locals went to the spot after receiving the information and brought the victim women to the thana around 10:30 pm.

Hearing the statement of the victims, raids were conducted in Kushtia and Baraigram areas at night and 4 rapists were arrested.

In this incident, the victims have been sent to Pabna General Hospital for medical examination and the accused have been sent to jail through court.
