Government Azizul Haque College of Bogura has secured third position under National University College Ranking this year among the 881 Colleges of Bangladesh on the basis of their academic performance, educational environment and other co-curriculum activities.

National University of Gazipur has declared the serial of the college considering the KPI (Key Performance Indicator) basis which began from 2015 and later from 2018, the information, data of the concerning colleges were asked to apply through online and after seeking application, 191 colleges applied and out them 125 colleges were selected initially and later after checking all necessary papers, 76 colleges were finally selected on the basis on KPI system.

On the ranking of national university, Rajshahi College became “First”, Pabna Edward College became “Second” and Bogura Azizul Haque College became “Third” in accordance with the scoring conducted by National University, whereas Mymensing Ananda Mahan College became Fourth, and Rangpur Carmichael College became fifth in the ranking.

Contrary, Lalmatia Women’s College was nominated as the best women’s college nationally whereas Rajshahi College, Rajshahi, was nominated as the best college of the country in the current year. Besides, Dhaka Commerce College was nominated as the best Non-government College across the country.

Contacted, Lamia Rahman, a student of the department of English under Government Azizul Haque College said that they are proud to be the student of the college as the college has been showing the continuous glorious performance by doing expected result in the last few years.

Contacted, Shahnaj Sharmin, Assistant Professor in English of Kahaloo Women’s Degree College said that the college has usually been doing good performance in making good result under National University and the students have been securing good positions in serving the state and its people.

Talking with the Principal of Govt. Azizul Haque College, Bogura, Professor Md. Shajahan Ali told the Correspondent that he has been trying his best to secure the first position among the colleges under National University by improving the academic result, improving the academic opportunities and hopefully, the college will reach in its climax very soon.
