Upazila Executive Officer Moinul Islam has held on a press briefing of the Prime Minister’s shelter project house built for the landless and homeless under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district.

In a press briefing in Sherpur upazila hall room on Wednesday, July 20 at 11 am, UNO said, “On July 21 Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate houses with land to the beneficiaries through video conference for the landless and homeless across the country.”

“On the day, the key of the houses built for the 3rd phase of Shelter Project-2 including Bashbaria 6 Kusumbi Union, Sabaria 6 of  Bishalpur Union, Tetulia-2, Colony-1, Bulaki-3, Naishimul-1 and Bhatra 26 in Mirzapur Union & the land deeds will be handed over to the beneficiaries of Sherpur upazila.Construction cost of each house is estimated at 2 lakh 59 thousand 599 taka and transportation is around 5 thousand taka.” he added.

Upazila Vice Chairman Shahjamal Siraji, Upazila Awami League General Secretary Sultan Mahmud, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sabrina Sharmin, Project Implementation Coordinator Shamsunnahar Shiuli, Bhavanipur Union Parishad Chairman Abul Kalam Azad, Shah Bandegi Union Chairman Abul Kalam Azad, Mirzapur Union Parishad Chairman Zahidul Islam, Sughat Union Parishad Chairman Moniruzzaman Jinnah, Khamarkandi Union Chairman Abdul Momin,Garidah Union Parishad Chairman Tabibur Rahman Upazila Awami League Vice President Saiful Bari Dablu. Sherpur Press Club President Nimai Ghosh, General Secretary Abdul Mannan, Sabuj Chowdhury, Shafiqul Sharif, Deepak Kumar Sarkar, Abdul Wadud, Sherpur Online Press Club General Secretary Abu Jaher  were also present in the function.

According to upazila project soures, implementation sources, 163 in the first phase, 17 in the second phase and 145 in the third phase. Out of this, 100 gifts are being given in the first phase of the third phase and 45 in the second phase.
