Workshop against Cyberbullying and online harassment held in Bogura

SheEqual in collaboration with Women and Children Help Desk of Kahaloo Police station Bogura has organized a workshop titled “Youth against Cyberbullying and online harassment ” at Tairunnessa Girls High School at Kahalloupazila in Bogura Districton 30 june, 2022.

The workshop was held facilitated by Tamima Nasrin, the founder and President of SheEqual,total near about 100 students were participated at this workshop.  Rozina khatun the Women Help Desk officer of kahaloo police station and Teachers of this school were also present there.

This workshop focused on the definition of cyber bullying, common causes, where it usually takes places especially through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, gaming sites, whatsup, Emo, Viber and other means of virtual communication.

How young people are being endangered and involved in various crimes through using online platforms,why do young people commit crimes like cyber bullying? Prevention and legal remedy are also discussed.

Basically, this workshop was organized to enhance the skills of the youth in particular on how to prevent themselves from committing this crime through awareness and how and where to go for legal help in case of such a situation.
