A case was filed in Bogura Sadar Police Station on behalf of TMSS for beating up TMSS workers including local villagers in a land in Thengamara Mouza adjacent to the establishment office of TMSS under Bogura Sadar Police Station.

After hearing the pleas of both the parties, the court denied bail to Abdul Hakim Mannan and ordered to send him to jail.

According to the incident, Thengamara was peacefully occupying the land after purchasing a piece of land from TMSS in 1991 and paying rent. A few days ago, when the local influential person Md. Abdul Hakim Mannan suddenly tried to seize the property through foreign terrorists on the pretext that he would get it through patriarchal sources, the TMSS concerned persons including the local people obstructed him.

At that time, Mannan’s mercenary terrorists brutally beat up about 10-12 TMSS personnel including the locals and seriously injured them. Several of them were admitted to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.

They are being treated there. Ayesha Begum, a life member of TMSS, filed a case with the Bogura Sadar Police Station on 15/01/22. Abdul Hakim Mannan, Abdul Halim and Alam were remanded in custody after the court granted bail to the three accused in the case.

The accused are sons of Shahjahan Ali of Thengamara village under Bogura Sadar Police Station. Adv. Rezaul Karim Montu appeared for the accused and Court Sub-Inspector Abdul Mannan Sarkar appeared for the plaintiff.
