RAB-5 members arrested two drug dealers in Rajshahi metropolis along with 1990 pitch tapentadol tablets.
An expedition team of RAB-5, CPSC, Rajshahi’s Mollapara camp arrested them from Talaimari traffic junction under Motihar police station at 3.30 pm on Thursday.
The arrested are: Md. Jewel Ali (19) of Jahajghat Madhyapara area under Motihar police station and Md. Sumon Ali (31) son of late Abu Taher Uddin of Haragram Paschim Para area under Kashiadanga police station.
This information was confirmed in a press release sent by RAB-5 at 7 pm on Thursday.
According to the press release, on the basis of confidential information, members of RAB-5 came to know that some drug dealers were standing in front of Dutch-Bangla Bank booth adjacent to Talaimari traffic junction under Motihar police station.
On the basis of such information, RAB members raided the place at 3:30 pm.
Sensing the presence of the RAB, the drug traffickers, while trying to escape, were arrested along with their 1990 pitch tapentadol tablets with the help of a RAB officer and force.
The RAB also said that the Narcotics Control Act has been filed against the arrested in this regard.
