Bashundhara Group, one of the leading industries in the country, has distributed blankets among the poor people under Sherpur of Bogura district. Distribution program was organized by Kalerkantha Shubhsangha at Sadhubari Saleha Public School and College premises of the upazila on Tuesday (January 11) at noon.
Alhaj Habibar Rahman, Member of Parliament for Bogura-5 (Sherpur-Dhunat) constituency, was the chief guest while Abdul Hai Bari, President of Shubhsangha Local Upazila Committee presided over the function.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Moynul Islam and Upazila live stock Officer.Md. Raihan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sherpur Police Station Shahidul Islam as a special guests spoke on the occasion.
Director of Kalerkantha Shubhsangh Zakaria Zaman, Organizing Secretary of Upazila Awami League Shamim Iftekhar Shamim, General Secretary of Sherpur Press Club Akram Hossain, General Secretary of Kalerkanth Upazila Shubher Sangha, Abdul. Vice President Shahnaz Parveen and Sherpur upazila correspondent Ayub Ali spoke in the meeting.
Besides, Shubhsangha Upazila Committee Adviser Dr. was also present at the blanket distribution ceremony. Akhtarul Alam Azad, Member Abdul Alim and others. Blankets were distributed among more than two hundred poor people in different areas of the upazila on the occasion.
