To create awareness on gender based violence against Women and Girls, community awareness meeting was held at Kurnibari union under Sariakandi upazila in Bogura.
This meeting was organised by Sariakandi Police Station and supported by UNFPA Bangladesh on Saturday. The meeting was presided over by Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sariakandi police station Md Mizanur Rahman while District Facilitator of UNFPA Tamima Nasrin was speaking as a Chief guest.
Tamima Nasrin discussed about different types of violence against women and girls and shared the necessary information among the people where to get legal help against these violence also she aware the people about the National emergency numbers such as 999, 109 and National legal Aid number as well.
Desk officer of Women, children, elderly & disable service Help Bilkis Khatun, Teachers from different educational institute , representatives from local government and other people from civil society were present in the meeting.
