For the first time in Kahalu Upazila of Bogura, a brave woman has filed her nomination papers for the post of General Member of Sadar Union. This brave woman Achma Khatun is the president of the Upazila Community Policing Committee and wife of the former president of the Kahalu Press Club, Abdus Chalek.

She submitted her nomination papers to Upazila Election Officer Jinnat Ara Jolly at 11am on Friday. Meanwhile, after receiving the news of submission of her nomination papers, many women of the ward gathered at the Upazila premises.

She is running for the post of general member to go to the polls with men to show people what is unknown to many. As she submitted her nomination papers for the post of general member as a woman, innumerable people of the upazila including all the voters of her ward.
