Atgharia Upazila parishad and Upazila corruption prevention committee organised an exceptional accountability programme for the grassroots people titled “People Face Upazila Parishad”.

The event was held at Chandva Government Primary School in the upazila on Monday afternoon.

On the occasion, Upazila Chairman Tanvir Islam along with all the senior officials of the Upazila Administration, Police and Parishad met the local general public.

The chairman of the upazila took complaints from the public in secret boxes, Facebook and directly and answered various questions. The locals directly questioned to the upazila administration and the upazila, pointing out various images of agriculture, health crisis, illegal occupation, irregularities, corruption, deprivation and harassment. Upazila administration and parishad authorities gave appropriate answers.

Pabna press club president ABM Fazlur Rahman and district correspondent of ‘Bangla TV’ and publisher of online ‘New Eyes’ SM Alam were also present on behalf of the journalists. Local dignitaries were present.
