Neonatal unit under the Department of Pediatrics at TMSS Medical College & Rafatullah Community Hospital has been inaugurated  in Bogura.

Selim, Resident Physician (Children’s Department) Dr. Rabia Khatun, Registrar (Children’s Department) Dr. Md Waheduzzaman, Registrar (Children’s Department) Dr. Shamima Sultana, Assistant Registrar (Children’s Department) Dr. Md Rezaul Hasan, Assistant Registrar (Children’s Department) Dr. Nazmin Akhtar , Director (Hospital) Dr. Abu Saleh Mohammad Barkatullah, Head of the Department of Surgery Associate Professor Dr. Md Abdul Majid, Executive Officer Md Alamgir Hossain and others were present.

Note that due to various reasons, some newborns are born prematurely, underweight, when they need a favorable environment like the mother’s womb. This scan unit is the support for them. Some newborns also have infections after birth, jaundice, congenital suffocation (crying late after birth), birth defects, etc.

Scanning services are needed for newborns at that time. The success of the scan depends largely on the availability of state-of-the-art equipment and the presence of experienced physicians. The scan unit of TMSS Medical College and Rafatullah Community Hospital is self-sufficient in all respects.
