Strict lockdown is going on in Haripur of Thakurgaon. The movement of vehicles and people in the roads and market areas of 6 unions of the upazila has not been noticed since Thursday morning.
From the first day of the lockdown, the presence of police members at various important points of the upazila was noticeable. Magistrates’ cars and policemen were also seen patrolling the streets. All shops in the local market are closed under the ongoing lockdown ban.
It has been seen on the ground that it has been raining intermittently since morning. Due to the strong position of the administration, the picture of the ongoing lockdown to prevent corona virus infection is very different.
The concerned upazila administration and law enforcement agencies are in a tough position to implement the lockdown road in the field even in the rain. Due to the Ranishankail-Haripur lockdown on the busiest road and no vehicles were seen moving under the ban. The ongoing strict lockdown will continue till midnight on July 7, said Upazila Executive Officer Abdul Karim.
