Entering Public Works building with weapons Two AL leaders relieved, showcase

Two Awami League leaders have been relieved of their party posts for entering the Public Works Department office with weapons. At the same time, the district Awami League has given a notice to showcause within 15 days to find out why they will not be expelled permanently.
The decision was announced in a letter signed by Pabna district Awami League general secretary Golam Faruk Prince on Wednesday evening.

The two released leaders are Faruk Hossain alias Haji Faruk, science and technology secretary of Pabna sadar upazila and Mohsin Reza Khan Mamun (MR Khan Mamun), Awami League organising secretary of Pabna Municipality unit.

Besides, the decision letter sent by WhatsApp and courier to the party’s office secretary Barrister Biplob Barua.
Pabna District Juba League has recommended expulsion of Pabna district Juba League convening committee member Sheikh Anwar Hossain alias Sheikh Lalu on the same allegation. Pabna District Juba League convener Ali Mortuza Biswas confirmed the matter.
He said, “On Wednesday, they sent to the central committee for recommending his expulsion. The decision of the center can be known in a day or two. ‘
It may be mentioned that Awami League leaders Haji Faruk, MR Khan Mamun and Juba League leader Sheikh Lalu entered the Pabna Public Works dffice armed with 25-30 associates at around  12pm on June 6. At this time, they entered different rooms of the office with weapons and that time their companions were waiting outside. T

When the matter went viral in the CCTV footage on June 12, there was a commotion in the town. Police on Sunday (June 13) seized two weapons belonging to Awami League leaders who entered the public works building armed. Police are taking further legal action in this regard, said Superintendent of Police Mohammad Muhibul Islam Khan.
