A mobile court, led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abdullah Al Mamun, has fined Tk 3000 for not closing shops within the stipulated time under Sapahar  upazila in Naogaon on Sunday afternoon.

Free masks were distributed among the people to raise public awareness and motivate them to use masks and urged everyone to stay at home if there is no work.

Safe Food Inspector (SI) Shawkat Ali was present at the time. The operation will continue, said the Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdullah Al Mamun.

According to court source a fine of Tk 3,000 has been paid in four cases for keeping various shops in the Upazila Sadar open at 5pm on Sunday.
