Awareness meeting on prevention of violence against women in Dhunte

A community awareness discussion meeting has been organized by Bogra’s Dhunat Thana Police keeping in view the theme of ‘Stop Violence Against Women and Ensure the Development of the Country’.

The discussion meeting was held at the premises of Bhandarbari Chaleha Zahura High School in collaboration with UNFPA at 11 am on Saturday. Bogra Additional Superintendent of Police Ghaziur Rahman addressed the meeting as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhunat Police Station Kripa Sindhu Bala.

Among others who addressed the meeting were UNFPA Bogra District Representative Tamima Nasrin, Dhunat Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Zahidul Haque, Bhandarbari Union Parishad Chairman Atiqul Karim Apel, Bhandarbari Union Awami League President Rafiqul Islam, Bhandarbari Chaleha Zahura High School Headmaster Mohammad. Dhunat Police Station SI Nuruzzaman Sardar, ASI Monowara Begum, teacher Abdul Halim, Awami League leader Abdul Barik, Liton Mahmud, Rabiul Islam Bhutan, Moazzem Hossain, contractor Ayub Ali, BCL leader Abdur Razzak, student Konika Khatun and Khaleda Akhter. The meeting was attended by people of different classes and professions in the area.
