Orientation and Parents’ Day was held at Chapainawabganj Polytechnic Institute. On Sunday (January 19), at 11 am, the admitted students of the Diploma-in-Engineering 1st phase of the 2024-25 academic year were welcomed on the premises of the Polytechnic Institute. Then the discussion began.
Chapainawabganj Polytechnic Institute Principal Engineer Md. Abul Kalam Azad presided over the event, with Chapainawabganj Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Yasir Arafat present as the chief guest.
In his speech, the chief guest wished the students a bright future and advised them to focus on their studies. He also called on the parents to be careful and attentive to their children.
Polytechnic Institute Engineer Md. Salah Uddin Yusuf and English Department Teacher Sumon Ahmed moderated the program, along with the institution’s Vice Principal Omar Faruk (1st shift), Vice Principal Selim Ahmed (2nd shift), teachers, students and guardians.
President of the program, Principal Engineer Md. Abul Kalam Azad, in his closing speech, said that the students should become like human beings by studying here and after passing the Diploma Engineering (theoretical and practical) from this institution, they should earn a reputation in the country and abroad according to their qualifications and skills, and besides, they should work in the government and private sectors and play a role in building a developed Bangladesh.

It is worth noting that the ‘Chapainawabganj Polytechnic Institute’ was established in 2006 in Bargharia, adjacent to the north side of the Bir Shrestha Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir Bridge built on the Mahananda River in the district town.
