The people are crossing the Baromasia River at Naodanga union of Phulbariupazila in Kurigram district over a bamboo made bridge with risk of life for long as its condition is deplorable.

Some 30 thousand People of all walks of life of six villages move through the bamboo made bridge every day. The school goers and patients are the worst sufferers. Locals expressed dissatisfaction due to lack of initiative to construct or renovation of the bridge.

Although the public representatives gave words during the time of election to construct the bridge but at the end of election they did not keep words. Consequently accidents take place here daily.

The people of this area depend on agriculture. The agricultural products which grow here in a large scale are not reach in wholesale market in time due to lack of smooth communication. The farmers are being deprived of fare price of their produced crops.Consequently the farmers are faced of loss and frustrated.

Local sources said the villagers with their own initiatives they made a bamboo bridge over the Baromasia river under Naodanga union of Phulbariupazila. About 30 thousand people of six villages’ have to go from one place to another crossing the bamboo made bridge with risk of lives.

Kantapara,Jhaukuti,charGorokmondol Government Primary School,FayjulUlumMadrasha and GorokMondol community clinic   is situated in western side and Fulmoti High School and  Community Clinic is situated in eastern side of the bridge.So the people of these areas have to go through the bridge.

Noor Mohammad, a student of class ten of NaodangaSchool and college said we go to school through the deplorable bridge with risk of life. Earlier, I also slipped from the bridge and wounded.

Chairman of Naodanga UP Hasen Ali said it is essential to construct a bridge over the Baromasia River. We are trying but fail to implement.

Upazila Engineer Ashik Iqbal Rajib said the necessary papers to construct of 30 meter bridge sent to Bridge Ministry.
