Fourteenth batch freshman held at PabnaUniversity of Science and Technology (PUST) of the students of academic year 2021-2022 (14th batch) in a joyful and festive atmosphere on Monday.

The programme began with the reading of the Holy Scriptures on the Independence Square of the PUST campus. Then the national anthem was played. Later the new students were welcomed with flowers.

Vice-Chancellor ProfDrHafuzaKhatunspoke as the chief guest. The convener and pro vice-chancellor SM Mostafa Kamal Khan of the event gave a welcome speech.

VC Dr. HafizaKhatunsaid that the new students that the university is a place to develop, enlighten and refine oneself by acquiring knowledge. A place to fulfill your dreams as a global citizen.

Treasurer prof Dr. KM Salah Uddin as a special gust said,`Bangladesh of 56 thousand square miles should be carried forward.

SM Mustafa Kamal Khan said that the parents that they should always keep an eye on their children even if they are in the university. It should be inquired whether the child is involved in any other activities apart from studies.

Among others, proctor Kamal Hossain, prof Dr. KhairulAlam, prof Dr. Dilip Kumar Sarkar, prof Dr. Habibullah, prof Dr. Kamruzzaman, Dr. Rahidul Islam, student advisor Sameeran Kumar Saha.Besides, JahanaraKhatun and ArefinDurjoy spoke among the new students.

The programme was conducted by Registrar Bijan Kumar Brahm. At the end, a wonderful cultural programme was organised.
